Creating Flexible Spaces for Worship and Community. Historic Building Enhanced For Future Generations

Project Overview

Claremont delivered the sensitive reordering of St Michael’s Church, creating a more flexible environment that supports both worship and wider community activities. The project included a new entrance and enclosed narthex, the remodelling of internal spaces, relocation of the font and upgrades to the building’s electrical, mechanical and internal finishes.

Designed to improve accessibility, functionality and visitor experience, the completed works provide a welcoming space that better serves the needs of the congregation and the wider community whilst respecting the character of the existing church.

Performance, Not Promises

Adapting places of worship requires more than construction expertise. It demands careful planning, sensitive delivery and a clear understanding of how historic buildings continue to serve modern communities. Through collaborative working and meticulous attention to detail, Claremont successfully delivered improvements that enhanced functionality whilst respecting the building’s heritage.

The project demonstrates our ability to sensitively modernise heritage buildings, creating welcoming spaces that support worship, community engagement and long term use.
